Your cap price is too high ?
Xiantao city, as the non-woven center of China, 70% mob caps are exported to all over the world from here.
Before 2020, cap price is reasonable, because demand = supply. But during COVID-19, lots of caps are purchased, also because of the increasing factories for both cap and non-woven fabrics , at 2022 demand < supply, then price is ultra-competitive.
Fierce price can only cause quality problem, currently different quality are in the market, how do you tell if your price is reasonable according to your required quality ?
( 1 ) You need to know something about the price
When talking about the price, we should be clear what makes the total price. Let`s see as below:
1. The cost for raw material ( non-woven fabric + elastics ) ;
2. The cost for package ( carton + polybag + lable );
3. The price for labors ( produce + pack );
4. The price for management.
For aboved 1/2, suppliers can use lower quality for non-woven fabric or package to make their price competitive, but you can see and compare it clearly, which is not good for long-term business.
For aboved 3/4, you cannot see it, for example, at some factories one worker will be responsible for 2 or 3 or 4 machines at the same time, or in some small workshops which started by the couples, the husband is responsible for producing, the wife purchase material and manage the packing workers, which of course decrease the labor cost, but more risk for quality control. The professional and big buyers cannot accept this.
(2) You need to know something about the quality
Quality is not by saying , should have the professional system to handle as below:
1. The inspection for raw-material and package ;
2. The inspection for first article production ;
3. The inspection for process production;
4. The inspection for final finished production;
The aboved 4 steps are essential for one certificated factory with quality management system, also have the records for each order. Many factories don`t have this system, if no system, how to make sure quality stable ? By promise through emails or calls ? So the SOP for quality control is very improtant, especially for the professional importer or brand manufacture.
To be honest, there is one important factor you will not take into consideration for price , it is your effort and time to one project. And mob cap is very simple, not your main profitable products , if quality is not stable, which cost you more efforts and time, especially low quality impact your brand，brand is too expensive.
